Vic's Anti-Blog Blog

Upon reading several of the blogs we were to review, I came to the same conclusion i have always had about blogs and blogging. I truly cannot stand them.

To me blogs have just always been a way for businesses to promote themselves, or a bunch of nonsensical ramblings, of nonsensical people, about nonsensical things, that I really don't care about. If I truly need to go to your website to find out about your product, I will Google it. I don't need a bunch of people telling me what they thought of it.
As far as people who blog about their day to day activities. Again, I don't care. If i wanted to know what goes on in your every day life, I'd be friends with you on Facebook or follow you on Twitter (Side note: I don't even have Twitter, but if i did i wouldn't follow these people) Also, I posted the above picture because for the most part I feel like the bottom middle picture is true. Honestly, All i have been doing is Google-ing mildly popular one liners that i am writing about.
HAHA! Get it? One liners? Sorry I had to throw that in there because The Big Bang Theory is hilarious and  if you don't watch it you should die in a fire. Just kidding... That was slightly harsh. Seriously though, Check it out you might like it, or you might hate it. My exact point. Who am I to tell you that you should enjoy this T.V. show? My main point being is blogging is just a way people try to make themselves known. No different than the hundreds of people who move to Hollywood with a poorly written screen play, that their friends and family told them were "Soooooo good" or "Amazing!!!", hoping to make it onto the silver screen.
I'm not trying to be rude, or a jerk, or an ass. I am just not a fan of blogging. My apologies Professor Murphy, you seem like an awesome teacher, I just truly am not a fan. I feel like I am writing an online diary for the whole world to see. I tried to keep my post as "G rated" as I could. In the off chance that i did offend someone...

and...

  2. Good job of infusing this post with your personality and starting to establish your voice on your blog. You have also done a good job of integrating visuals to engage your reader and support your points. You are of course entitled to your opinion about blogs, but you do need to address the specific aspects of this assigned entry. Refer specifically to 3 different blogs. Besides the the genre itself, what do you (not) like about them. The tone. The style. The specific format. Be specific, think critically, and link to the blogs you are analyzing.
